Projectile Manufacturing
D&M can design and implement a wide range of projectile manufacturing lines, from pistol and small rifle, to large rifle, including NATO calibers, and Non-Standard/Russian Calibers.
Our pistol projectile cell is a compact system that begins with lead wire extrusion through a horizontal press to create bullet cores. For steel cores, a separate cell uses a horizontal cold-forming transfer press to cut and shape steel wire. These cores are then cleaned and hardened through heat treatment in a small furnace and quench tank system.
Both lead and steel cores are delivered via a collator into the projectile assembly press. Bullet jackets are drawn within the assembly press, eliminating the need for a separate bullet jacket drawing system. In the assembly system, cores are inserted, and the bullet jackets are closed, producing completed projectiles.
